Just call me THRIFTY

I’ve been out of perfume for several months now. Well, not totally out, but down to my very last bottle. I have been hesitant to buy any more though, because the fragrances that I prefer tend to be a little on the pricier side of things, and lately I haven’t been interested in spending money on purely personal purchases (say that three times fast!).

But today I was able to get a bottle of my absolute FAVORITE perfume for FREE! Yep, totally free.

You see, we have a credit card that has a points reward program. I charge regular things like gas and groceries each month and pay it off in full so that I can get points towards rewards. In the past I have saved up the points long enough to request a check in the mail as my reward, but today I decided to go and surf the reward catalog and found that they were “selling” a 1.7 ounce bottle of Perry Ellis 360 for Women for only 4500 points. And I had 5000 points saved! I couldn’t believe it!

Ever since we started on this adoption journey, I have been scrimping and saving where I can, and this “purchase” totally made my day! Just had to share…
